It's the 4th of July, 1996 and four high school seniors decide to have some fun on their last summer as kids. So they party and get drunk and go to an isolated beach by their town. When all driving home together from the beach, they decide to have Ray (Freddie Prinze Jr., She's All That, Down to You) drive since he is the only sober one. But when he gets distracted by drunken Barry (Ryan Phillippe, Stop-Loss, Breach) they accidentally hit into a random stranger on the road.

They all argue on what to do because alcohol spilled in the car and they know the police wouldn't beilieve Ray was driving. However Julie (Jennifer Love Hewitt, "Ghost Whisperer", Heartbreakers) thinks they should go to the police no matter what. But when Helen (Sarah Michelle Gellar, "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", TMNT) sides with the boys and it was three against one, they dump the body in the harbor and all promised not to speak of it again.
